Hisense Home Appliances Acquires Controlling Interest in Sanden

On May 31, Hisense Home Appliances completed its acquisition of Sanden Holdings, an automotive air conditioning systems manufacturer in Japan. Purchasing 83,627,000 shares of common stock, which were privately held by Sanden holdings, at a cost of approximately ¥21.41 billion (about US$ 193.1 million), gives Hisense Home Appliances 75% of voting shares, making it the majority shareholder of Sanden Holdings.
