The new A2L refrigerant group including refrigerants such as R454B is attracting market interest as they are only mildly flammable and have low GWPs compared with refrigerants in the A1 group such as R410A. Moreover, the features are similar to those of R410A, so it is less expensive to change refrigeration systems compared with other refrigerants. Therefore, R454B appears to be one of the key options which comply with the EU F-gas Regulation.
