ATW Subsidies in Europe
2021-06-28
The French government’s subsidy system based on CITE for expenses related to energy savings is being replaced by a new French subsidy called MaPrimeRénov’ or My Renovation Subsidy in two stages. During the first stage, from January 1 to December 31, 2020, the MaPrimeRénov’ system was implemented for low-income households which benefited from energy transition subsidies paid by the French housing agency, Agence nationale de l’habitat (ANAH). Middle-income households which did not benefit from MaPrimeRénov’ were still eligible for CITE on a temporary basis until December 31, 2020. Beginning January 1, 2021, MaPrimeRénov’ became the only subsidy system for energy transition subsidies, and CITE was scrapped.
