As affected by the pandemic as EHP, the global demand for GHP decreased by 3.7% to 36,900 units. Gas is an indispensable energy source providing a means of rational and balanced energy utilization. GHP technology is especially important for the reduction of peak electricity usage in summer. GHP is very useful in areas where power generation and the electricity transmission infrastructure are not fully developed, or where the price of electricity is high. GHP systems are of three main types, namely the GHP type VRF system and the GHP chiller, as well as the recently developed GHP refrigeration system. This article mainly covers GHP type VRF system.
