Toshiba Carrier Achieves Cumulative Production of 50,000 Module Chillers

Toshiba Carrier announced that the cumulative production of module chillers reached 50,000 units on December 1, 2020. Toshiba Carrier has endeavored to develop highly efficient air-cooled heat pump chillers and expand their diffusion. For the first time in the industry, the company commercialized the ‘Flex module chiller,’ a large heat-source system in which modules can be linked corresponding to the capacity required, and it production was launched in March 2004 at Tsuyama Works. For more than 16 years since that time, the company has continued to develop, manufacture and sell those module chillers, thus allowing them to be adopted in a wider field of uses such as factories, buildings, commercial facilities, and data centers.
