Updates on Natural Refrigerants Virtually Presented at GL2020
2021-02-08
On December 7 to 9, 2020, the 14th IIR-Gustav Lorentzen Conference on Natural Refrigerants, GL2020, was organized by International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) and Japan Society of Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (JSRAE) as a virtual event for the first time in its history. The Gustav Lorentzen Conference is an international biennial conference established in 1994 to commemorate Dr. Gustav Lorentzen, a professor at Norwegian University of Science and Technology or NTNU and a pioneer in the use of CO2 refrigerant. Japan hosted the conference for the first time, and the organizing committee originally planned to hold it as a face-to-face meeting at the Kyoto International Conference center and Doshisha University in Kyoto. However, they were forced to reschedule it as a virtual event, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
