China’s Centrifugal Chiller Market Drops by 14.8%

In the first half of 2020, due to the impact of COVID-19, China’s centrifugal chiller market, which usually would enter a peak installation season in March and April, stagnated. As the epidemic has come under control, centrifugal chillers have started to see growth in sales and installations. Based upon the number of shipments, data centers, medical, and industrial projects were the top three applications. As the Chinese government released plans for new infrastructure, large demand will be seen in the areas of data centers, railways, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI), which will offer a big opportunities for centrifugal chillers with high cooling efficiency.
