Japan boast s a complete cold chain industry, and consumers can receive food in one day. Maybe because of consumer preferences, fresh food e-commerce has not seen rapid growth. Only a few consumers purchase fresh food via e-commerce, generating low demand for CRBs. In Japan, agricultural cooperatives have enforced strict measurements in order to monitor management of the cold chain. Agricultural products collected by farmers are delivered in a timely manner to agricultural cooperatives for pre-cold treatment, so that farmers will not suffer financial losses due to price reductions applied to agricultural products of poorer quality.
