UNIDO Director General participates in the 5th BRICS Industry Minister’s Meeting

The COVID-19 pandemic has had lasting impacts on livelihoods, halted international economic activities and has resulted in the global manufacturing sectors output declining by 6.0 percent in the first quarter of 2020.  However, the crisis has afforded the international community an opportunity to accelerate progress towards collaborative solutions to development issues through increased digitalization.
