Trakm8 offers solution for socially-distanced test drives

The government’s recent announcement that car showrooms would be able to reopen their doors from Monday 1st June was met with celebration across the automotive industry, but also raised questions as to how test drives – a vital element of the retail process – would function in a time of social distancing?
 
With dealership employees unable to join customers for the test drive, many retail groups are having to rely on the trust factor and hope that the car is driven – and returned – safely. But this is an imperfect solution and one that will perhaps be unfeasible if this ‘new normal’ of enforced distancing continues throughout the year.
