In 2019, the U.S. economy marked its longest recovery period since the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy in 2008. After the Obama administration, it continued to perform well, partly thanks to the effects of economic stimulus measures such as a large tax cut and interest rate cut implemented by the Trump administration in the fall of 2017, and stock prices in 2019 also followed an upward trend.
