1. Viessmann Shows Green Store Technologies
At EuroShop, Viessmann offered refrigeration solutions that help keep food and produce fresh for longer, thus reducing food waste. The new Tecto SV3 PI semi-vertical cabinet line is an excellent example how food merchandising and temperature performance can be combined in one product with plug-in technology and propane (R290) as a natural refrigerant.

2. Heat Pump Sales Soar to Almost 100,000 in Finland
According to SULPU, Finnish Heat Pump Association, heat pump sales increased by 30% and even more in euro terms in Finland in 2019. More than €600 million (US$ 648 million) was invested in the 98,000 heat pumps installed last year. The number of air-to-air (ATA) heat pumps sold reached 79,000, ground-source heat pumps reached 9,000, air-to-water (ATW) heat pumps reached 6,000, and exhaust air heat pumps reached 4,000.

On March 11, 2020, Emerson announced it has completed the purchase of Verdant, a leader in energy
management solutions for the hotel and hospitality industries. The addition of Verdant broadens Emerson’s growing energy management and optimization capabilities for residential and commercial applications.

4. Magnetic-bearing Centrifugal Chiller White Paper 3.0 Released
Within the context of the green and high-efficiency heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) policy trend in China, the White Paper 3.0 provides a strong reference for the government departments concerned, helping them to formulate policies to guide industrial development. Magnetic-bearing high efficiency centrifugal chillers for data centers will definitely play an active role in the future, creating energy savings and emissions reductions.

5. Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning – Silent-Iconic design panels Receive iF Design Award 2020
The awarded Silent-Iconic panel is an option panel designed to be inconspicuous in architectural spaces. A survey conducted among architects by Hitachi and Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning revealed that there is a hidden need for visually silent cassette-type air conditioner design that harmonizes with interiors. Maintaining the cost advantage, ease of installation, and the performance of cassette-type air conditioners, the Silent-Iconic panel offers unobtrusive design near the ducted indoor unit.
