1. CAREL Offers Combination of Different Technologies

2. YORK YZ Magnetic-bearing Centrifugal Chiller Expanded to 2,020 Tons
At 2020 AHR Expo held in Orlando, Florida, the United States, at the beginning of February, JARN reporters visited the Johnson Controls booth and gained an insight into the features of the new YORK YZ
magnetic-bearing centrifugal chiller. Johnson Controls expanded the capacity of the YORK YZ centrifugal
chillers from 1,425 tons on a single compressor design to 2,020 tons on a dual compressor design.

3. Climate World 2020 Ends on a High Note
At Climate World 2020, there were more than 240 companies from 20 countries that presented their new products and technologies on the exhibition floor which was divided into themes such as refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, heating, water supply, air treatment and cleaning, and energy saving. More than 19,500 specialists visited the exhibition from various regions of Russia as well as surrounding countries, and countries far from Russia.

4. Indian Compressor Market
In line with the growth of the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) industry in India, the compressor market grew about 8% in 2019. The maximum growth of about 12% was clocked by the hermetic rotary compressors for air conditioners, reflecting the strong growth in the air conditioner market during 2019. Within this category, inverter compressors showed the highest growth rate, especially with 3 Star and 5 Star ratings. Hermetic reciprocating compressors for refrigerators also showed a high 9.5% growth. All the other categories grew by less than 5% each.

5. Midea Group to Acquire Hiconics for RMB 743 Million
Midea Group said in the announcement that Hiconics takes the leading position in the industrial variable frequency drive (VFD) field. Its high-voltage, low-voltage VFD and servo system will improve Midea’s strategic deployment in the field of industrial automation and software drive. This is another move from Midea Group in the industrial Internet of Things (IoT) field following its acquisition of Germany-based Kuka and Israel-based Servotronix Motion Control. The servo motor business of Hiconics will also complement Servotronix. The acquisition of Hiconics will play an important role in Midea Group’s expansion into the industrial IoT market.
