Daikin Strengthens Approach that Fosters AI Specialists

Daikin has invested about ¥100 million (US$ 0.9 million) in Aidemy, a startup that originated in the University of Tokyo and specializes in fostering artificial intelligence (AI) specialists through the use of e-learning and supporting businesses in their AI use, by subscribing for new shares issued by Aidemy in order to increase capital through third-party allotment. The investment this time is intended to establish a stable medium-and long-term cooperative relationship with Aidemy with a view to strengthening the fostering of Daikin’s AI specialists and to creating new solutions through the use of AI.
