The U.S. economy in 2019 started very strong with high consumer confidence and record low unemployment. However, because 2019 summer was record hot, replacement volumes compared with, 2018 show little growth. Current economic conditions are a bit mixed and future expectations have moderated. While unemployment still remains low, consumer confidence has softened. A sluggish global economy and the U.S.-China trade war have hurt manufacturing and business investment.
