The Global R32 AC Market – 2018 Overview

Imports and production of R22 air conditioners were prohibited in Australia from 2010, and the room air conditioner (RAC) and packaged air conditioner (PAC) markets have already shifted to R410A and R32. In 2013, Fujitsu General launched R32 splits, followed by Daikin. In 2014, Kelvinator, a local manufacturer, launched R32 window and split-type RACs supplied by Gree on an original equipment manufacturing (OEM) basis. In 2015, Panasonic and Mitsubishi Electric also launched R32 split-type RACs.
