1. New EC Motor Generation from Rosenberg
The new electronically commutated (EC) motor Generation 3 is 30% more powerful than the previous generation. The new EC motor also offers many other advantages, such as the integrated inspection LED for visualizing the motor status, the new ModBus remote terminal unit (RTU), the use of Electronic Quick Change (EQC) Technology and the IT network support (Earthing system).

2. Chemours Opteon Refrigerants Contributing to Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction
During China Refrigeration Expo (CRH) 2019 held in Shanghai in April, JARN visited Chemours’ booth and interviewed Diego Boeri, vice president of Chemours Fluorochemicals, to hear about the Opteon line of zero ozone depletion potential (ODP), low-global warming potential (GWP), hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) based refrigerants.

3. Samsung Leverages Technology to Enhance User Experience
Samsung HVAC America strategically leverages technology to increase the knowledge and awareness of industry professionals and end-users regarding Samsung heating and cooling systems. The manufacturer has launched a mobile application targeting HVAC installers and service technicians, as well as a redesigned website. The Samsung HVAC Mobile Application expedites parts identification, model information, and product registration for contractors by scanning the barcode of a unit.

4. Highly Builds the World’s 3rd Largest AC Compressor Production Base
On April 26, Nanchang Highly held an opening ceremony for its large smart production base of air conditioner compressors. With a total investment of RMB 620 million (US$ 90 million), this project included building up production lines for large-capacity rotary compressors, product upgrades, and smart production technology retrofits. When the new plant is put into operation, Nanchang Highly will increase its annual production capacity of compressors to 15 million units.

5. AC Technology Building Completed at Mitsubishi Electric’s Shizuoka Works With
With a view to expanding its air conditioning business, Mitsubishi Electric has constructed on the premises of its Shizuoka Works a building dedicated to air conditioning technology. With the advent of the new building, the company intends to strengthen its ability to develop household and commercial air conditioning equipment that meets global needs and to accelerate the development of new products. The cost of the construction of the AC Technology Building was about ¥5 billion (US$ 45.5 million).
