1. MGC Reaches 100 Million Compressor Production – A New Beginning
On May 31, 2019, Mitsubishi Electric (Guangzhou) Compressor (MGC) has achieved production of 100 million units and the MGC management team celebrated this milestone with a ceremony. Since the first compressor produced in 1996, MGC has been devoting innovative technology and high quality to every compressor, providing products and services that satisfy customers. With reaching the milestone of 100 million units, a new production line will be put into production soon.

2. NTT Facilities Partners with Smardt to Supply Oil-free Chillers for Data Centers in Japan
NTT Facilities announced on May 7, 2019 that it has partnered with Smardt, a leading global provider of oil-free centrifugal chillers based in Canada, and has entered into an exclusive distributor agreement concerning Smardt TA Class oil-free air-cooled centrifugal chillers. NTT Facilities is an engineering company under the umbrella of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT), Japan’s largest communications business group, and is highly recognized in the field of design and installation of cooling systems for data centers.

4. The Global R32 AC Market – 2018 Overview
When reviewing the 2018 global air conditioner market trends, it emerges that the recent shift to mildly-flammable R32 refrigerant has accentuated and has become more far-reaching. Along with the rising scale of the R32 air conditioner market, air conditioning equipment using R32 has become more diversified. For instance, R32 air-to-water (ATW) heat pumps and scroll chillers have been launched in addition to air conditioners. R32 split-type room air conditioners (RACs) have already received high market recognition in Asia, Oceania, and Europe. Meanwhile, the market environment for commercial use packaged air conditioners (PACs) is not yet sufficiently ready for a shift to R32 in many countries.

5. ISH China & CIHE Displays Clean Heating Solutions
ISH China & CIHE was held from May 6 to 8 at New China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. Exhibitors noted strong demand from visitors at the fair for greener heating solutions, following the central government’s ongoing implementation of environmental protection policies. Exhibitors in the German Pavilion and the Overseas Areas were also positive about their prospects in the Chinese market noting high interest in quality products and the latest technologies, and confirming the fair’s effectiveness as a platform to access the Chinese market. As reported, Chinese players also showcased their strength in green heating technology.
