2. ACREX 2019 Focuses Global Interest on Indian HVAC&R Industry
ACREX India held its 20th edition at Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre, Mumbai from February 28 to March 2. With 481 domestic and international exhibitors from more than 25 countries spread over 12,663 m2 of booth area, this was the largest ever exposition on air conditioning, ventilation, and intelligent buildings in South Asia.

3. Petra Signs Global Agreement with Siemens for Digital Building Technology
On March 7, Petra announced that Siemens has signed an agreement to supply building technology to Petra. Under the contract, Siemens will provide hardware controllers, HVAC application software, building Desigo CC, field devices and instrumentation for Petra’s manufacturing of HVAC systems globally.

4. Carrier AquaEdge 19DV Marks a Cumulative Cooling Capacity Milestone
Carrier AquaEdge 19DV centrifugal chillers sold in the Asia Pacific region have achieved a cumulative cooling capacity of 42,000 RT since their launching in December 2016. With its excellent efficiency, performance and adaptability, this flagship product has a footprint in more than 10 countries, including Singapore, Australia, China, Malaysia, and India. It is sought after by customers and serves a variety of segments, such as data centers, hotels, hospitals, office buildings and commercial complexes.

5. China Commercial AC Market Shows Single-digit Growth in 2018
According to Aircon.com, China’s commercial air conditioner market approached RMB 100 billion (US$ 15 billion) in 2018, showing single digit growth. Due to the macro-control policy on the real estate industry, the house decoration market showed a gloomy performance in 2018, while growth in the engineering project market was better than expected. In particular, magnetic bearing centrifugal chillers, air-cooled screw chillers, and modular chillers showed strong market performance. For applications, data centers, medical cares, and rail transit have maintained their growth.
