On January 23, Hitachi-Johnson Controls Air Conditioning announced the launch of the Hitachi HZ series of chillers (250 to 900 USRT), an innovative new series incorporating non-Freon low-global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant HFO-1233zd(E), magnetic bearing technology and greatly improved partial load efficiency –all of which add up to best-in-class performance in terms of low environmental impact and cost performance.
