The 2018 Australian room air conditioner (RAC) market including window and portable types, showed demand reaching 872,000 units, dropping by 7.8% year on year; packaged air conditioners (PACs) amounted to 111,000 units, falling by 6.3% year on year. According to Australian Federal Reserve, the economic growth rate was slightly higher than 3% in 2018. However, RAC market growth was not satisfactory, with inventory volume higher than that of the previous year.
