Georgia contractors and distributors have been a driving force behind the Atlanta area Habitat for Humanity projects since 1988 when Jim Corbin of Corbin Comfort Systems joined with MAACA on the first home. It grew each year with more and more companies participating in the projects. In 1996 Clark Howard got involved with the Atlanta chapter.
