The global chiller and airside market accounted for US$ 15.1 billion in 2017, a rise of 4% over 2016. Chillers represented 51% and air handling units (AHUs) 38% of the total value. Both the Chinese and the U.S. markets started to recover some lost share and it is understood all regions saw an increase in value for chillers and airside over 2016. Most countries witnessed an increase in value in 2017 with Taiwan and Japan being the main exceptions.
