4. New Refrigerants with Low GWPs for Centrifugal Chillers
One of the promising low-pressure refrigerants is R1233zd(E). Trane Europe announced for the first time in 2014 a new centrifugal chiller lineup charged with R1233zd(E), followed by major leading chiller manufacturers such as MHI, Carrier, and YORK. Recently, McQuay/Daikin and Gree also exhibited new centrifugal chillers using R1233zd(E) at China Refrigeration Expo (CRH) held in 2018.
