1. Are R32 VRFs Poised to Expand in Japan and in the World?
Daikin plans to release a Green Multi Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system from August 2018, adopting the hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant R32 for the first time in the industry.  R32 is a lower global warming (GWP) refrigerant which is far more environmentally than its predecessors, and generates energy savings. However, its mild flammability has limited its application range in the past.

2. The 29th CRH Expo is Scheduled for April 9 to 11 in Beijing
More than 1,400 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions, including the United States, Europe, South Korea, and India, have already registered for CRH Expo 2018. The exhibition venue is expected to welcome nearly 60,000 professional visitors and users from over 100 countries and regions.

3. AHRI Releases December 2017 Shipment Data
Year-to-date (Jan - Dec, 2017) combined shipments of central air conditioners and air source heat pumps increased 6.5%, to 7,805,529, up from 7,330,859 units shipped during the same period in 2016. Year-to-date (Jan - Dec, 2017) shipments of central air conditioners increased 5.8%, to 5,185,747 units, up from 4,900,992 units shipped during the same period in 2016. The year-to-date total for air-source heat pump shipments increased 7.8%, to 2,619,782, up from 2,429,867 units shipped during the same period in 2016.

4. Dorin to Penetrate the U.S. Market with Its Large CO2 Compressors

5. Sales of ATW Heat Pumps for Heating Rise in 2017
In 2015, ATW heat pumps accounted for only 10% of Beijing’s Coal-to-Electricity project. In 2016, installations of ATW heat pumps for heating reached 160,000 units, with a market share rising from 10% to 70%. In 2017, with penetration of the Coal-to-Electricity project, domestic sales of ATW heat pumps for heating amounted to 556,000 units and RMB 7.9 billion (US$ 1.2 billion).
