1. China’s New Standard to Ease Use of Flammable Refrigerants
The ‘GB/T 9237-2017: Refrigerating systems and heat pumps - Safety and environmental requirements’ standard was issued on December 29, 2017 by the Standardization Administration of China (SAC), and will be enforced as of July 1, 2018. The GB/T 9237-2017 has stipulated a benchmark of the use of flammable refrigerants, laying a solid foundation for the marketing and promotion of environmentally friendly refrigerants with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and lower Global Warming Potential (GWP).

2. Mitsubishi Electric to Further Expand Ductless and VRF Sales in U.S. with Ingersoll Rand

3. The Emerson Cup 2017 Awards Presented in India
The 10th awards ceremony was held in Jaipur on October 27 during the Indian Green Building Congress. It is recognized as a prestigious competition that showcases emerging industry trends and practices in design and technology, energy efficiency, architecture, and human comfort in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) industry in India.

4. MCE 2018 to Stage the Essence of Comfort
The 41st edition of Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) is scheduled from March 13 to 16, 2018 at Fiera Milano in Milan, Italy.  As of December 2017, MCE 2018 has registered an attendance of over 1,600 exhibitors, 43% of whom coming from 52 countries, with a rise in the number of exhibiting companies from Turkey, Egypt, and India.

5. Bitzer CO2 Compressors Adopted in Chinese Supermarket
On January 17, 2018, Metro in China, a member of a leading international wholesale and food service business group, opened Beijing Lishuiqiao store. This is the first newly opened supermarket applying a transcritical CO2 system in China.
