1. Danfoss Opens New Production Base for Turbocor Oil-free Compressors in China
The new production line in Haiyan will place Danfoss in an even stronger position to change the game of competition in China, and thereby maintain the company’s industry leadership position globally and in China, currently the largest chiller market in the world, for oil-free centrifugal compressors.

2. AGC Acquires ASHRAE Certification for New Low-GWP R1224yd
Asahi Glass (AGC) announced that it has obtained certification for HCFO-1224yd(Z), AMOLEA yd as the trade name, which is a new refrigerant with a lower environmental impact. The certification was granted in October 2017 by ASHRAE, marking the first time for a Japanese company to obtain approval for a new chemical substance.  HCFO-1224yd is a non-flammable, environmentally friendly new refrigerant designed mainly for use in centrifugal chillers, binary cycle generators, and waste heat recovery heat pumps.

3. Canton Fair Shows China’s Vitality to Develop Global Market
After 60 years of development, the 122nd Canton Fair (twice a year) has already become the largest annual exhibition in the world. It is also a barometer of China’s foreign trade and an important platform enabling Chinese enterprises to explore the international market.

4. Trane Acquires Calmac, a Leading Energy Storage Company
On November 7, Trane announced that it has acquired Calmac Corporation, a privately held company specializing in cool energy technologies including IceBank storage tanks. More than 4,000 businesses and institutions in 60 countries rely on Calmac’s thermal energy storage to cool their buildings, including some prominent buildings in the United States such as Rockefeller Center and the Credit Suisse Building in New York City and an Ingersoll Rand North America headquarters building in Davidson, North Carolina.

5. LU-VE Expands Its Facility in Poland
On October 26, The LU-VE board of directors has decided on the investment to expand the production site of the subsidiary company SEST-LUVE Polska in Poland. The total investment plan, which will be completed by 2021, has an estimated value of ?36 million (US$ 41.8 million); building work will be located on approximately 60,000 m2 of ground in the business park of Gliwice, and includes the construction of a factory of 20,000 m2, and the acquisition of plant and machinery.
