2. Europe
European ATW heat pump market reached 246,000 units in 2016, growing slightly compared with the previous year. Of this total, France accounted for 58%, followed by Germany and the United Kingdom. Together, these three countries account for nearly 80% of the entire European ATW heat pump market.

3. Japan
Although the heat pump market recorded negative growth in 2015, it grew by 3.4% in 2016, with sales volume up to 420,600 units. When considered over a period of several years, however, it may be said that the negative growth in 2015 was not so serious as to affect the market very adversely.

4. China
China launched ‘Coal to Electricity’ policy to reduce air pollution problems, especially in Northern China. This policy has actively promoted the development of the ATW heat pump market.
