1. Upbeat HVAC&R Industry in a Fast Growing Economy-A Report from ACREX India 2017 Expo
ACREX India 2017 Expo was held from February 23 to 25, 2017. The exhibition, covering 32,000 m2 in the newly built India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML) premises at Greater Noida near New Delhi, had a record 483 exhibitors including 144 international exhibitors, and witnessed over 30,000 visitors.

2. SCI Unveils Large-size Scroll Compressor
Siam Compressor Industry (SCI) has developed a large- size scroll compressor model with a capacity of 20 hp, which was on display in the booth of Mitsubishi Electric, SCI’s parent company, at the 2017 AHR Expo.
The large-size scroll compressor exhibited at the expo is designed mainly for variable refrigerant flow (VRF) equipment. SCI also hopes to expand its sales of chillers.

3. Kirloskar Adopts Honeywell’s Solstice ZE for Chillers in India
AKirloskar Chillers, Pune-based engineering conglomerate and part of the Kirloskar Group, is using Honeywell’s Solstice ze or R1234ze(E) refrigerant in its new line of chillers manufactured in India. The chillers are now available for installation in both industrial and commercial buildings in India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Europe.

4. Gree Solar VRF Awarded Global First UL Certificate
On February 10, 2017, Gree North America held a ceremony for the launch of its solar variable refrigerant flow (VRF) products and award of global first UL certificate for solar VRF at La Concha hotel, San Juan, Puerto Rico. Over 100 representatives from Underwriter Laboratories (UL), Gree headquarters, local Gree agents, design consultants, contractors, and installers attended, witnessing the launch of Gree solar VRF products in the United States.
