1. World Compressor Market in 2016 - OVERVIEW
Thanks to a scorching summer in 2016, air conditioner inventory was digested by a large sales volume and the room air conditioner (RAC) compressor market has recovered to the level of the previous year. However, impacted by a gloomy global economy, growth of compressors for light commercial and commercial air conditioning applications fell short of expectations. In order to reduce food waste and improve food safety, the cold chain equipment market maintained growth in newly industrialized countries, and demand for compressors for refrigeration applications increased but at a decelerated growth rate in 2016.
