J.C. Penney Tests HVAC Sales at Some Stores, With Trane Equipment

The independent heating and air conditioning contractors' battle against big-box stores that sell HVAC systems could soon become more challenging, as J.C. Penney, based in Plano, Tex., is testing selling HVAC systems at some of its brick and mortar locations.
