1. Huge Market Potentials in the Gulf Area ?Report on the 15th IRAN HVAC&R Exhibition
The 15th International Exhibition of Heating, Cooling, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigerating Systems (IRAN HVAC&R) was held at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground from October 18 to 21, 2016.  This exhibition showcased innovative products including air conditioners, components, and boilers. As for air conditioners, room air conditioners (RACs), mini-splits, packaged air conditioners (PACs), variable  refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, chillers, and air handling units (AHUs) were on display.

2. Bitzer Opens Subsidiary in Iran & First Office in Kenya Bitzer
Bitzer opened a subsidiary at Tehran in Iran  and an office at Nairobi in  Kenya. The foundation ceremony for the new Bitzer subsidiary Bitzer Iranian was held at the Espinas Hotel on December 5. The company has invited selected business partners to the ceremony and, among other things, presented a cutaway model of its intelligent Variable speed compressor with integrated frequency inverter.

4. Mitsubishi Electric Innovative Hybrid VRFs in a Hotel in UK
A new 250-bedroom hotel has become the first in the United Kingdom to use an innovative hybrid air conditioning technology that removes the need to install leak detection equipment in occupied rooms. The Holiday Inn Express Birmingham City Centre in central Birmingham is using Mitsubishi Electric’s Hybrid variable refrigerant Flow (VRF) system to keep guests comfortable in a controllable, energy efficient way, whilst still offering the full flexibility of design and installation that VRF air conditioning is synonymous with.

5. Haier Joins Forces with Nidec to Develop New Fresh Air System
Haier and Nidec Shibaura (Zhejiang) signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement at Qingdao Haier on October 27, 2016. Both parties agreed to jointly set up labs and R&D teams based on modular cooperation over the next three years. The agreement is aimed at front-end R&D for fresh air system and motor system design to develop energy saving, high efficiency, and smart product solutions. Both sides are also working on a whole new fresh air system design.
