Comments on Impact of HFC Phase-down from Global Association Leaders

Prior to the enforcement of the Paris Agreement on November 4, an amendment to the Montreal Protocol was adopted during the 28th meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol (MOP28) held in October in Kigali, Rwanda, to regulate the consumption and production of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) used as refrigerants in air conditioners and refrigerators.
