1. Shuangliang Invited to B20 Summit on World Economy
On September 3, Shuangliang as a representative of the business enterprises was invited to attend the B20 summit in China, an offshoot of the G20, whose function is to present a forum for the world leading companies to discuss global issues. Taking B20 as a lever, Shuangliang will be actively involved in the reconstruction of the value and industry of cities worldwide as well as ‘one belt one road’ international strategy to develop a larger energy conservation and environmental protection market in the world.

2. Arkema Helping Orderly Transitions to Low GWP Refrigerants
The Arkema Group is one of the world’s top producers of fluorinated chemicals, under the brand Forane, including refrigerants as well as foam blowing agents, solvents, and aerosols. Arkema’s refrigerants are used for various HVAC&R applications. During Chillventa 2016 held in October, JARN interviewed Matthew T. Ritter, Global Business Director and Olivier Poyet, General Manager EMEA to hear about its refrigerants.

3. CAREL Inaugurates New Plant in Croatia
The official inauguration of CAREL’s new production plant in Labin, on the south-eastern coast of Istria, Croatia, was held on November 3. This new production site, built in a record time of around six months after purchasing the buildings, CAREL Adriatic will be manufacturing inverters, electronic boards, and valves for the European market.

4. India Cold Chain Show Mirrors the Boom in the Market
There were about 170 Indian and international exhibitors. The Netherlands and China had exclusive pavilions for exhibitors from their countries. Over 6,000 persons visited the exhibition over three days.

5. Trane to Supply Chillers for Shanghai Stock Exchange Data Center
Trane will supply 22 units of CenTraVac centrifugal water-cooled chillers to the Shanghai Stock Exchange’s Jinqiao data center. This order consists of ten 1,400-ton units and twelve 800-ton units. The data center has eight cooling rooms offering a total cooling tonnage up to 23,600 tons.
