1. The 2015 Overview for chiller and airside
According to BSRIA, world chiller demand in 2015 came to US$ 7.7 billion, a decline of 6.9% over 2014 due in part to economic slowdowns in China and emerging countries. Meanwhile, demand for the air-side equipment of AHUs and FCUs saw little decline.

2. China Market
China is the largest market in the world for large equipment, and its chiller demand reached US$ 2.4 billion in 2015, a drop of 13.9% over 2014.

3. European Market
Chiller demand in the European market also fell 12.4% over 2014 to US$ 1.3 billion.

4. U.S. Market
2015 chiller demand came to US$ 1.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9.0%. U.S. domestic demand for AHUs was US$ 1.5 billion, a sharp 16.5% higher than in 2014.

5. Indian Market
The chiller market grew at about 4.5% overall during 2015.  Industry sources estimate the market scale in 2015-16 to be around 3,845 chillers. In terms of value, the market scale was US$ 215 million.

6. Southeast Asian Market
The total chiller market in seven countries, namely Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Cambodia, recorded a 3.7% year-on year decline to US$ 306.5 million in 2015.

7. Middle East Market
The overall chiller market in the five Middle Eastern countries of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Iran, Qatar, and Kuwait amounted to US$ 608.2 million in 2015, up 13.4% from 2014.

8. Latin American Market
Latin America’s chiller market scale reached US$ 301.1 million in 2015, a sharp 27.6% decrease compared with the previous year.
