Heat pump technology is increasingly penetrating the European market. Almost 8.4 million heat pumps are currently operating in Europe. They provide 147 terawatt-hours (TWh) of useful energy, re - duce the final energy demand by 120 TWh and avoid 24 Mt of CO2 emissions.
