2. JCI and Tyco Propos Merger to Advance to Shareholder Votes
Johnson Controls and Tyco International announced on July 7 that the registration statement on Form S-4 filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), was declared effective on July 6, 2016. The registration statement was filed in connection with the proposed merger and includes a joint proxy statement of both companies’ allowing the transaction to proceed to shareholder votes.

3. Cofely Refrigeration Becomes Engie Refrigeration
On June 8, Cofely Refrigeration, the Germany-based refrigeration specialist, had a new name, ENGIE Refrigeration GmbH. The company thus operates under the global umbrella brand of its parent company Engie, the former GDF Suez.

5. ISH China & CIHE 2016 Held in Beijing
In early June, ISH China & CIHE, China International Trade Fair for Sanitation, Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning 2016, was held in Beijing. This exhibition attracted more than 1,200 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions around the world, covering all eight exhibition halls in the China International Exhibition Center with a total exhibition area of up to 95,000 m2.
