* World Air Conditioner Market
Major global air conditioner markets, such as China, the United States, and Latin America, showed unsatisfactory performance in 2015. JARN estimates world air conditioner demand at nearly 101.8 million units, dropping 3.7% year on year. This represents the biggest decline since 2012

1. North America
Air conditioner demand in the United States came to 14.5 million units in 2015, which was a slight decrease year on year. Unitary air conditioner sales dropped by 0.6% year on year while mini-split only saw growth of 11.6%, which fell short of expectations. Unfavorable weather conditions also led to shrinkage in the window air conditioner market

2. China
Macro economy control and unfavorable weather conditions resulted in an 8.7% year-on-year decline in China’s air conditioner market, with market scale dropping to 38.0 million units. Blind production expansion led to huge inventory. Online purchase turned out to be an effective means of absorbing inventory. However, hot on-line sales also made cheap goods popular.
