1.   New Technologies Drive the Market---Report on the 27th CRH
CRH mainly covers commercial air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment. In the commercial air conditioner sector, greater numbers of direct expansion (DX) type air conditioning systems such as variable refrigerant flow (VRF), and also chillers were exhibited. These two types of air conditioners, VRFs and chillers, each with specific advantages, attracted many visitors from China and abroad.

2.    Carel Solutions Control AC&R Systems Efficiently
Headquartered in Italy, Carel is a global leader in control solutions for air conditioning, refrigeration and heating, and also humidification and evaporative cooling. During Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) 2016, JARN interviewed Francesco Nalini, Carel group managing director, to gain an insight into Carel’s exhibits at MCE and its business strategies.

3.    Embraco Announces New President
Embraco announced that from March 1, Luis Felipe Dau assumed the presidency of the company as the successor of Roberto Holthausen Campos, who was promoted to senior vice president at Whirlpool. Ten years in the company, Mr. Dau led the vice presidencies of business and global marketing area and Embraco plant in Asia. The executive has also held various management positions in various areas and regions, as Director of Operations in Brazil and China.

4.    Carrier Unveils New Generation AquaEdge 19DV Centrifugal Chiller
During CRH 2016, Carrier unveiled its latest innovation, the new generation AquaEdge 19DV two-stage variable-speed centrifugal chiller. Designed to use the new low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant HFO-1233zd(E), this variable-speed centrifugal chiller features a Greenspeed variable frequency drive motor controller.

5.    Mayekawa Releases Latest NewTon Refrigeration Systems
The latest NewTon models have the smallest refrigerant charge in the series but have the same refrigerating/freezing capacity. In the case of R-3000 and F-300 models, the quantity of ammonia refrigerant charge was reduced by about 16% from 25 kg to 21 kg, thus reducing the possible danger of refrigerant leakage. Also, the company newly developed the company’s own original variant plate for a shell and plate heat exchanger used for CO2 liquefaction.
