1. Ziehl-Abegg Increases Its Turnover by 6%
“We have achieved another significant increase in turnover last year in difficult conditions”, says Peter Fenkl, CEO of the Ziehl-Abegg. Even though the economic development in the BRIC countries - Brazil, Russia, India, and China - is slowing down, Ziehl-Abegg has succeeded in increasing turnover worldwide by 6% to 448 million Euro(US$ 486.5 million) in 2015 from 423 million Euro (US$ 459 million) in the previous year.

2. ACR Show - A Flagship UK Event
The ACR Show, the UK’s only dedicated exhibition for the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, heating, and heat pump sectors, took place at the NEC, Birmingham, from February 16 to 18, 2016. Leading experts shared their knowledge and advice in the three main seminar locations: the Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Theatre sponsored by Gree; the Refrigeration and Cooling Theatre sponsored by Opteon Refrigerants from Chemours; and the Training and Careers Theatre sponsored by Toshiba Carrier.

3. VRF Continues to Gain Traction with Texas’ High-rise Buildings Owners
In recent years, Texas’ population and economic growth has spurred a construction boom of office buildings, hospitals, schools, residential projects, and more. All of these facilities need HVAC equipment, and according to Thomas McLaughlin, principal of Direct Expansion Solutions (DXS), variable refrigerant flow (VRF) technology continues to gain traction across the state, with an approximate 10% market share compared to practically nothing just a few years ago. The trend is particularly strong in high-rise applications.

4. Juhua and Honeywell Strengthen Partnership
A total of 11 people from Honeywell Performance Materials and Technologies group paid a visit to Juhua, a leading chemicals manufacturing company in China, on January 29 to strengthen their partnership. In addition to long-term cooperation in technology, the partnership between the two parties is now extending and expanding into business and trade, equipment and container manufacturing, industrial automation and control services, and safety and environmental protection support in a more advanced and deep rooted manner.

5. Mitsubishi Electric Develops High-precision Air Quality Sensor for PM2.5
On February 8, 2016, Mitsubishi Electric announced that it has developed a small, high-precision air quality sensor, the first in the world to detect all fine particles measuring no more than 2.5 micrometers (μm) in diameter, called PM2.5, as well as pollen and dust. It also precisely senses the density of particles.
