* Centrifugal Compressors in 2015
World market scale for centrifugal chillers is estimated at 15,500 units in 2015, a year-on-year increase of 4.3%. Impacted by decelerated growth in newly emerging markets, actual demands for centrifugal compressors in the global market was decreased slightly year on year in 2015.

1. The French Heat Pump Market Flourishes in 2015
 The French heat pump association has released figures on sales of heat pumps in France in 2015.  Sales of air-to-air (ATA) heat pumps with a capacity of 17.5 kW or less rose 16% in 2015 compared with 2014, reaching 399,657 units, of which 311,346 were split and 88,311 were multi-split models.  Despite lower sales in the renovation market, overall sales of ATW heat pumps were buoyant with a 7% increase in 2015 compared with 2014 thanks to installation of ATW models in new homes. Over 78,000 units were installed.

2. JCI to Expand VRF Business
Johnson Controls (JCI) sees the variable refrigerant flow (VRF) market as a great growth opportunity, with its estimate of the market growth at 10%, faster than any other product category.
The company is taking a staged national approach to bringing VRF to JCI channels, and expects to have full coverage by the beginning of 2017.

3. Bry-Air Workshops on Adsorption Chillers
Bry-Air (Asia) organized half-day technical workshops on adsorption chillers in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, and Kolkata in December 2015. More workshops are planned in Dubai, Dhaka, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, and Jakarta.

4. Haier Makes Customers Its Top Priority
Haier is accelerating its business transition, attracting the best resources worldwide by capitalizing on its open platform, and offering optimized product experiences to users. JARN interviewed Wang Youning, general manager of Haier residential air conditioners, in Orlando, the United States, where he shared his opinions on some hot industry issues such as refrigerant substitution.

5. China Air Conditioner Export Drop by 6% in 2015
According to China Customs, air conditioner export from China dropped by 6% year on year in 2015. Asia and Oceania saw 7.5% and 9.6% growth in 2015, respectively. However, Europe, Africa, Latin America, and North America suffered decline.
