German Left fails in bid to ban R1234yf

Die Linke, the German Left Group, has failed in a bid to ban the low GWP car air conditioning refrigerant R1234yf. The vote in the German Bundestag last Thursday called for a German ban on the refrigerant which is being introduced under the European MAC directive to replace R134a in car air conditioning systems.
