* Compressor Market Overview for the year 2015
The year 2015 was a difficult one for compressor manufacturers. It is estimated that scroll, screw, and centrifugal compressors for air conditioners decreased by 10.8%, 9.4%, and 7.9%, respectively.
While the global air conditioning market experienced a slump, emerging markets pushed up demand for reciprocating, scroll, and screw compressors for refrigeration, and these segments saw growth of 2.5%, 4.7%, and 12.4%, respectively.

2. STULZ Expands Its Presence in Brazil

The final meeting of 2015 of the Daichi Discussion Club (DDC) took place on November 25 at the historic Metropol hotel in Moscow. Daichi, a well-known supplier in the Russian market of equipment from world-leading manufacturers including Daikin, Midea, Samsung, and Kentatsu, presented an overview of the features of the products it offers and discussed new possible solutions to engineering challenges.

4. Emerson in Final Stages of Updated Copeland Scroll Outdoor Refrigeration Unit
Emerson Climate Technologies announced it is in the final stages of launching the latest update to its Copeland Scroll outdoor refrigeration unit, X-Line. Building on the X-Line’s industry-leading energy efficiency and application flexibility, the latest update will be available early summer.

5. Haier Builds Magnetic Bearing Centrifugal Chiller Plant
On January 5, Haier held ground breaking ceremony for its chiller plant at Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark. This factory will produce full series of chillers focusing on magnetic bearing chillers to provide customized services to global customers. The new plant covers a planned area of 80,000 m2, with annual production capacity of over 10,000 units of chillers and more than 350,000 units of air side products.
