* Shuangliang Strengthening Absorption Chiller Business with R&D and Services
Shuangliang is a leading absorption chiller manufacturer. In June 2015, JARN visited Shuangliang Eco-Energy Systems in Jiangsu Province, China, and interviewed Liu Zhengyu, general manager of the LiBr Absorption Chiller Division, Shuangliang Eco-Energy Systems, to hear about its absorption chiller business.

1. Panasonic Announces the Acquisition of Hussmann
Panasonic has signed an agreement with Hussmann Parent Inc., the Delaware-based parent of Hussmann, and Clayton Dubilier & Rice, LLC (CD&R) in New York, the representative of shareholders of Hussmann Parent, for Panasonic Group to acquire 100% of the shares of Hussmann Group including Hussmann in April 2016.

2. Samsung Focusing More on Commercial ACs
On October 28, 2015, JARN was invited to the Samsung AC Forum 2015, held at Samsung’s headquarters in South Korea, and interviewed Jemyung Moon, Senior Vice President of AC R&D Group, and Charles H. 3. Munters Inaugurates Plant in Araucaria
On September 17, Sweden-based Munters Brazil celebrated 20 years of business in Brazil and the opening of its new factory. The new structure has an area of approximately 10,000 m2 with the capacity to employ up to 200 employees. With an investment of 50 million reals (US$ 12.6 million) in the construction of the plant and new production lines, Munters is expanding its investment in Brazil aiming at domestic market growth and expansion of the Mercosur platform consisting of Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Venezuela.

4. Danfoss Signs MoU with National Productivity Council for Energy-Efficiency Training
Danfoss Industries has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Productivity Council (NPC), Government of India, to leverage common facilities for training in the area of energy efficiency, improving course modules, and support for energy audits.

5. GMCC Celebrates the 40 Millionth Refrigerator Compressor Production
Guangdong Meichi Compressor Company (GMCC) celebrated the production of the 40 millionth refrigerator compressor in Hefei on November 26, 2015. GMCC started producing refrigerator compressors in 2008. At present, its production volume ranks among the top three in China.
