2. Technical Trend of Chillers
Energy conservation and global warming reduction are the current major issues for HVAC equipment. To improve the energy efficiency of chiller systems, technical development focused on large oil-free centrifugal chillers, large permanent magnet (PM) motors, chiller system controls, and expanded use of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) has been underway.

Embraco, a leading brazil-based manufacturer of hermetic compressors for refrigeration, announced a new partnership with Officine Mario Dorin, a traditional Italian manufacturer of semi-hermetic compressors, during the 19th FEBRAVA.

4. Energy Efficiency Performance of China’s RACs Improve Significantly
According to data released by China Household Electrical Appliances Association, China’s room air conditioner (RAC) industry grew steadily between 2007 and 2014. Due to higher energy efficiency, sales of inverter RACs exploded dramatically during the same period. In 2007, the market share of inverter products was only 1%. In 2014, the figure rose to almost 50%.

5. Panasonic to Establish Ventilation Fan Production Base in Mexico
Panasonic Ecology Systems will establish a ventilation fan production base in Tijuana, Mexico, to manufacture ceiling-mounted ventilation fans for the North American market, and thereby strengthen the company’s North American ventilation fan business.
