The 2014 French ATW market posted flat growth in replacement and retrofit demand, while demand for new housing saw strong growth despite challenging conditions in the new housing market. ATW market scale grew 30% in 2014 over the previous year to reach 71,000 units.

2. Swep Introduces First AHRI Certified Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers
Swep is the first company to provide brazed plate heat exchangers (BPHEs) certified by the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). Testing performed by AHRI’s contracted laboratories verify that product performance is according to specified ratings. This offers additional security when selecting BPHEs for HVAC installations.

3. Emerson Introduces Universal Heat Pump Defrost Control
White-Rodgers, a business unit of Emerson and part of the Emerson Climate Technologies business segment, has developed the universal heat pump defrost control. This new control is the latest in the company’s outdoor electronic innovations.

4. MHI Expanding Centrifugal Chiller Business Leveraging Efficiency & Reliability
Nearly two years have passed since the establishment of MHI Bingshan Refrigeration (Dalian) (MBRD). 5. Chigo Shows Robust Growth in North Africa
Chigo has presented rapid growth in the global market with air conditioner export to Europe, Americas, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, ranking top three exporter in the industry. It is noticeable that Chigo has grown to be the No. 1 air conditioner exporter to the North African market with 260,000 units of air conditioner export during the period from January to July 2015, indicating 45.3% growth.
