Industrial Heat Pumps in Germany

The potential for heat pumps in industrial processes in Germany is virtually untapped, according to a study by the University of Stuttgart. The total demand for water at 70°C is estimated at around 211 PJ/year (64 billion kWh/year) or around 11% of the total industrial load.
