Comfort Criteria in Question

Design conditions for warmth and comfort in offices and public buildings need to be revised. Socioeconomic trends mean that women now form a much greater proportion of the workforce and their inherently lower metabolic rates - around a third less than men - require a warmer environment for comfort in winter.
