Exeter project is first to combine solar and large scale heat pump in district heating

Star Renewable Energy and E.ON collaborate to demonstrate how heat pump can replace CHP for lower cost and lower carbon heating. An innovative large scale heat pump system from Star Renewable Energy and E.ON will work with a solar energy installation to supply E.ON’s community energy centre in Cranbrook to the east of Exeter, with renewable heating and hot water.
