1. JCI May Separate Automotive Business to Focus on HVAC&R Business
JCI may decide to shift capital it invested in the automotive business to the HVAC&R business to better compete against increasing investment activity by foreign air conditioner manufacturers in the U.S. market.

2. Samsung VRF up to 80% More Energy Efficient
According to the report of Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) - the largest science and energy national laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Samsung VRF systems with enhanced control algorithm (CCM) are up to 25.7% and 80% more energy efficient in cooling and heating, respectively, compared to conventional baseline rooftop units.

3. Secop Plans to Consolidate European Component Production
Secop has now decided to consolidate its component manufacturing at its facility in Zlate Moravce, Slovakia. It plans to relocate its component production from Austria to Slovakia within 2016.

4. New Food Safety Law to Stimulate Refrigerated Car Market in China
New version draft of Food Safety Law was approved on April 24, which will be enforced on October 1, 2015. The revised version requires stringent full-process control over food safety, from production, transportation, storage, to sales and catering services. Responsibility of food producers will be emphasized, with strengthened monitoring and punishing measures.

5. Saginomiya Expanding Overseas Sales
Saginomiya, a leading Japanese company in the automatic controls business including electronic expansion valves, pressure switches, and sensors, has continued expanding its sales outside Japan year after year. Its sales outside Japan in 2015 look set to surpass its sales inside Japan.
